Types of Trucks

Trucking is an essential part of our business at Gana Trucking & Excavating. With our many years of experience, we know that not all jobs need the same kind of truck. With that in mind, we offer a wide variety of types of trucks — each with its own special features.

Dump Trucks

Dump trucks are the workhorses of the trucking industry. A dump truck is equipped with a hydraulically operated open-box bed that can be raised at the front end to allow the contents of the bed to be dumped out the back. These versatile vehicles can be used for a variety of purposes, including hauling gravel, sand, and other materials.

Side Dumps

A side dump is a truck with a dump body that tilts to the side for dumping. The main advantage of a side dump over a rear dump is that it can dump its load faster and hold more. In general, side dumps offer more stability and are safer.

Lowboys

A lowboy is a type of trailer that is used to haul heavy equipment. Lowboys are usually between 40 and 60 feet long, and they have a deck that is only a few feet off the ground. This makes them perfect for transporting large excavators, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment.

Belly Dumps

A belly dump is a type of truck that has a dump body with a raised side and open top for easy loading. It also has a dump gate that allows the load to be dumped from right under the box. Belly dumps are often used for hauling materials that are loose and heavy, such as gravel, construction materials, and demolition waste.

Trucks and Pup

A pup trailer is a small trailer that is pulled behind a larger truck. Pup trailers are often used for hauling smaller loads, such as construction materials or landscaping equipment.

Stone Slinger

ALL NEW — Our Stone Slinger can quickly and easily transport and place stone, sand, soil, mulch, or any other type of material where you need it — without the use of a dump truck. The Stone Slinger is a great choice for construction sites, landscaping projects, and more.
