Our next employee spotlight is Austin! Austin recently came aboard Gana Trucking and Excavating as a side dump driver.
After high school, he decided upon a trucking career because his dad was a truck driver and he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. He attended truck driving school at Southeast Community College in Milford, NE for his training. Gana caught his eye at one of SCC’s job fairs. He was quickly drawn to Gana because of their benefits like home every night and offering competitive pay.
As Austin gets settled into his new job, his favorite part of the job is simply driving. He likes the strategy and skill that it takes to drive a semi. It’s fun to be on the road. Despite the fun, he has learned how important it is to be cautious and watch out for other drivers.
